How many dogs are in each class?
Most of our group classes are capped at 4 dogs, some are capped at 3 dogs. This is to ensure everyone gets lots of attention and is successful in class, so that homework is done well.
What if I have to miss a group class?
Life happens. If you cannot make it to class because of an unforeseen issue, or if you know in advance, we will arrange a make-up lesson.
How long is each class?
Our classes are 30 minutes long, and we limt most classes to 4 dogs, and we have 2 trainers. The class time is used fully to instruct and help you develop your skills. By the end of class, we find both the dog and human are tired.
Do you use treats in training?
Yes. Treats are usually a desirable currency for which a dog will work. Our goal is to use treats to train a behaviour, but then move to a random reward schedule once the dog is fluent in that behaviour.
Do you offer Private Training lessons?
Yes. If you have an issue that requires a more direct approach, or if your dog is not able to learn in an environment with other dogs as distractions. we can approach training on a private lesson basis. Go to Private Lessons tab to book a lesson.
Are classes held on a weekly basis?
Yes.
Can more than 1 person come to class?
Yes. Family members that will be involved in the dog's daily life are welcome to attend classes. Children under 8 must be supervised at all times.
